Accessible Tour
This tour is designed for visitors who wish to experience the cave without navigating stairs. It utilizes the Elevator Entrance and emerges near the famous Snowball Room, showcasing historic signatures and sparkling geological formations.
Broadway Tour
This tour follows the path used during nearly two centuries of touring, entering and exiting through the Historic Entrance. It visits iconic landmarks such as the Rotunda, Broadway Avenue, Methodist Church, Booth’s Amphitheatre, Giant’s Coffin, and the Tuberculosis Huts.
Cleaveland Avenue Tour
Ideal for those interested in geology and history, this tour features sparkling walls of gypsum and unique tube-shaped passages. Visitors can still see evidence of early visitors on the walls and ceiling as they travel to the Snowball Room.
Discovery Tour (Self-Guided)
Offered daily between 10:00 and 2:00 during the month of July, this self-guided tour allows visitors to explore the cave at their own pace.
Grand Avenue Tour
This extensive tour provides visitors with a comprehensive experience of the cave’s history, visiting landmarks like Giant’s Coffin, Bottomless Pit, Tuberculosis Huts, River Styx, and Mammoth Dome. Tour Booking and Planning
To ensure a seamless experience, it’s recommended to book tickets in advance, especially during peak season, through the National Park Service website or recreation.gov. Visitors should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of their scheduled tour to allow for parking, ticket pickup, and restroom use.
Important Notes
- Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older on all tours.
- Firearms, pepper spray, mace, knives, or weapons of any type are not permitted on cave tours or in the Visitor Center.
- There is a $1 per ticket charge for cancellations, and customers who arrive late will forfeit their tour fee.
